Kitchen

Is their a color palette that you see for your kitchen? (Cabinets, countertops, wall color, etc.)

Do you like open shelves and accessibile tools in your kitchen or do you prefer everything to have its place in a cabinet or drawer?

Would you like the cabinets to reach the ceiling? Do you want crown molding around the top of the cabinets?

Will your appliances be built-in? (ie. refrigerator, oven range, dishwasher)

Do you have a brand of appliances you'd like to use?

Master Bedroom

Is there a color palette or feel you want for this master bedroom?

What type of lighting would you like to see in the space? (ie. sconces next to bed, pendants next to the bed, ceiling fixture and recessed cans) Would you like to have a ceiling fan?

Do you have a preference on wall paper, textured paint or flat paint?

Master Bathroom

Is there a color palette or feel you want for this master bathroom?

Would you like this bathroom to use aging-in-place design? (ie. curbless shower, vanity countertop without cabinets below and easy to use drawer pulls on any cabinets.

Is there a manufacturer of plumbing fixtures you prefer? (ie. Kohler, Waterworks, Hansgrohe, Restoration Hardware, etc)

If there is a tub, what design aesthetic and features would like it to have? (ie. modern free standing, traditional built-in, clawfoot freestanding, jets and airation, curved back)

For the shower, do you prefer to have it tiled to the ceiling?

Do you have a style of tile that you love for the shower walls, floor or bathroom? Would you like to see the bathroom walls tiled or just the shower?

Would you like his and hers vanities planned together or separate?

Is there a need for a separate vanity/make-up area?

What type of lighting would you like to use? (ie. Sconces or pendants next to mirrors, ceiling fixture and recessed cans)

Would you like a linen closet or storage built into this space?

Is there a style or theme you'd like for any of your other bathrooms?

Is there an overall aesthetic or style you like for this space? Or finishes? (ie. beadboard, wallpaper, stainless steel modern, traditional, rustic, etc.

Do you have an aesthetic in mind for the fireplace surround? Stone, tile, concrete, built-in wood storage cubbies, raised hearth or flush hearth, timber or stone mantel, etc. )

Lighting Overview

Is there a specific kind of lighting you'd like for the overall home? (ie. recessed cans, track lighting)

Would you like ceiling fans in any rooms? If so, which ones?

Would you like under cabinet lighting in the kitchen, bathrooms or other built-ins?

Interior Trim/Millwork

Is there a specific style of interior window and door trim you like? (ie. traditional molding with a profile, shaker style, or modern drywall wrap with no trim)

Is there a specific style of interior door you like? (ie. shaker style, flush modern, frosted glass, 3-panel, etc.)

Are there any rooms where you'd like to design a built-in for? (ie. mudroom cubbies)
